INTEGRITY DENTAL GROUP
Integrity Dental Group (IDG) is a doctor-led dental organization serving the St. Louis area, including St. Louis County, St. Charles County, and Franklin County. Founded by Dr. Melissa Smith, a 2004 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, the organization is dedicated to advancing patient care through clinical excellence, innovation, leadership development, and education while maintaining a patient-first philosophy across every practice.
Integrity Dental Group supports six general dentistry practices throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area and surrounding communities, providing comprehensive preventive, restorative, cosmetic, surgical, and specialty dental services. The organization emphasizes evidence-based treatment, advanced technology, interdisciplinary care, and continuous professional development to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Committed to developing the future dental workforce, Integrity Dental Group provides structured mentorship for dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative professionals. In partnership with Accelerated Academy Dental Assisting, the organization hosts a dental assisting training program that provides hands-on clinical education within an active private practice setting.
The organization includes multiple doctors with advanced training in implant dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, sedation, and comprehensive restorative care. This collaborative model allows patients to receive a broad range of services while exposing clinical team members and students to diverse procedures, patient populations, and contemporary evidence-based dentistry.

DR. MELISSA SMITH
I started this dental group because I had something early in my career that most dentists never get: a mentor. I had someone who had already been in the field, understood the challenges, and could help me grow from experience instead of figuring everything out on my own. The right mentorship can slingshot a dentist’s career, both clinically and professionally, and I wanted to create that same opportunity for others.
I also saw how much smoother dentistry could be when most services were offered in one office. By working together across disciplines, we could solve more complex dental problems, provide a better experience for our patients, and keep their care connected instead of constantly sending them elsewhere.
At the same time, I could see dentistry shifting toward larger dental groups. There were real advantages to that model, but too often the things that make dentistry great were getting lost—mentorship, clinical growth, professional autonomy, strong team culture, and a genuine connection to the practice. As a whole, I believed that was damaging our profession.
That is why I set out to build something different: a dental group where dentists can lead their own practices without carrying every operational responsibility of ownership. A place where they feel supported, continue growing clinically, learn from experienced dentists, and work alongside well-trained teams. Most importantly, I wanted to create a place where people genuinely want to work—and are proud enough of it that they want their friends to work here, too.
That was the vision from the beginning, and it is still what we are working to build every day.
